Council forced to comply with Government housing targets
Mid Sussex District Council has sought legal legal advice over Government plans to build 17,000 homes in the District by 2026. Residents have expressed strong feelings on the housing numbers and the Council is in full agreement that the numbers proposed are excessive and unjustified. However, the legal advice received by the Council is, that in this case, Mid Sussex does not have a reasonable prospect of succeeding in such a challenge.
