Mid Sussex District Council celebrates Play Days success
PR2024012 - 15/03/2024
Mid Sussex District Council is celebrating its successful February half-term Play Days, with a huge 152% attendance increase compared to the same period in 2023.
Building on the success of 2023, the popular Play Days returned during the February half term, in Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill and East Grinstead and offered free activities for families with children including a DJ workshop, circus skills, puppet shows, sports skills, arts and crafts and much more.
MSDC Deputy leader Alison Bennett, cabinet member for Communities and Communications, said: “It is fantastic to see such a huge increase in attendance for our beloved Play Days. After the amazing response we got last year, it's clear that this year is shaping up to be even better!
"For those who missed out in February, there is plenty more coming up throughout the year! With a line-up of free events planned during the school breaks, there’s something for everyone, and we encourage parents to keep an eye on social media and our website for all the details. We're excited to welcome you to join us for all the upcoming festivities."
The next events will run during the Easter holidays from 1:00pm – 3:00 pm. The locations are:
- Thursday 4 April - Mount Noddy, East Grinstead
- Tuesday 9 April - St John’s Park, Burgess Hill
- Thursday 11 April - Victoria Park, Haywards Heath
Due to limited parking at some locations, Mid Sussex District Council is advising visitors to walk, cycle or use public transport, if possible.
