Housing Benefit Appeals
This page gives information on housing benefit appeals and council tax support appeals.
If you believe a decision on your application is wrong, you need to ask the Council to look at the decision again - this is called ‘mandatory reconsideration’. If you remain dissatisfied with the outcome of a reconsideration, you can appeal to the Independent Tribunal Service, within one month of getting your ‘mandatory reconsideration’ decision.
If you believe that the Council decision on an application is wrong then you can appeal that decision.
