Direct Debit
Setting up a Direct Debit
Direct Debit is the easiest and most efficient way to pay your Council Tax or Business Rates. You can choose to pay on 1st, 10th or 20th of the month and is available over 10 or 12 months, as well an annually or bi-annually.
To set up a Direct Debit, click on the button below to take you to Self Service and select pay by direct debit.

You can also call our Revenue team on 01444 477564, or complete a paper Direct Debit form (193.49KB PDF) and return to our postal address or by emailing it to revenue@midsussex.gov.uk.
Paying online
You can pay online using a Debit or Credit card.
You will need your Council Tax or Business Rates account number.
Paying by phone
You can pay by phone using a Debit or Credit Card by calling the 24 hour automated payment line on 0330 088 9360.
Pay using Internet Banking
The Council's bank details are:
- Account Number: 11517968
- Sort Code: 30-80-12
- Account Name: Mid Sussex District Council
- Bank: Lloyds Bank
Make sure to include your account reference for your payment.
Pay at a Post Office (Council Tax Only)
You can take your bill with you to any PayPoint or Post Office branch to make a payment, as long as your latest bill has a barcode on it.
If you require an updated bill to be issued, please contact the Revenues Department.

Payments to Enforcement Agency
