Tenant matching service

The Housing Options Team at Mid Sussex District Council is pleased to offer a comprehensive service to private landlords, providing two distinct levels of support:

Standard Service:

Our standard service involves no fees or commission, allowing landlords to retain full discretion in choosing tenants referred by us. We cover any void period from the date of tenancy offer until the tenancy start date. Additionally, landlords benefit from a 5-week deposit bond, a free professional inventory at the start of the tenancy, service of all documents to tenants, affordability checks, and more. This level also offers the option of the tenancy agreement being supplied by MSDC, along with dedicated support and a comprehensive tenant sustainment service.

Enhanced Service:

Building upon the standard service, the enhanced service is subject to certain conditions and provides additional benefits such as a 6-week deposit bond, 6 months' rent in advance (for eligible applicants), the ability for landlords to retain any rent credit at the end of the tenancy and two property inspections in the first 6 months, further supporting landlords in ensuring the well-being of their properties and tenants.

Our service aims to assure landlords of property stability, offering longer tenancies to minimise void periods. We prioritise affordability and conduct thorough assessments to match tenants with suitable properties. Leveraging our extensive client database, we connect your property with eligible tenants, contributing to a vibrant and sustainable community. Our commitment to fostering strong landlord-tenant relationships underscores our dedication to the mutual success of all parties involved.
