Green Space Hire

You can book our green spaces, pavilions and halls for non-sporting activities, filming, major events, funfairs, and informal gatherings. All bookings are managed, on the Council’s behalf, by Glendale Countryside Ltd and the Sussex Film Office.

You can also hire these spaces for your business (e.g., nursery). These arrangements are managed directly by the Council.

Please note: match fixtures are prioritised during the playing season. We therefore recommend that dates for one-off bookings are checked with us in advance before submitting your application.

Please make sure to read the fees and charges information and our Conditions of Hire before making your booking.

You must apply to hire a green space or pavilion at least 28 days before your event.

Terms and Conditions

You may be required to provide further documentation to support your booking request this could include and may not be limited to:

• Risk assessment
• Fire risk assessment
• Site plan
• Public Liability Insurance (no less than £5 million)
• Safety certificates for equipment.

Classification of a major event is based on the amount of space required, the number of people expected to attend, and the nature of the activities involved. If you are unsure if your event could be considered major or minor, please contact us at bookings.midsussex@glendale-services.co.uk.

Several of our pavilions are occupied during the week by local businesses (e.g., nurseries). Please contact us at parksopenspaces@midsussex.gov.uk if you are interested in using one of our buildings for your business.
