Half term fun with Urban Events in Burgess Hill

There’s no need to be bored this October half-term with Urban Events – FREE fun-filled holiday activities – in Burgess Hill.

Mid Sussex District Council and New River are co-funding an exciting line-up of events for 8-16 year-olds at the Martlets Marquee from October 26 to November 3. Some of our events do cater for younger children and age suitability is given below.

There’s something for everyone whether you fancy trying out your circus skills, learning some new moves on a skateboard, giving mini golf a go, playing laser tag, or taking part in DJ workshops…..plus lots more.

Most events run from 11am until 3pm with the exception of the spray painting workshops on Wednesday that take place from 10am until 4pm. There’s no need to book except for the spray painting and skateboarding which need to be booked here.

  • Saturday October 26: Laser Tag – family fun in an inflatable laser tag arena (families/6+)
  • Sunday October 27: Learn how to become a superstar DJ and enjoy a silent disco in an inflatable night club (families/ages 8-16)
  • Monday October 28 and Tuesday October 29: Skateboarding skills – become a skater for the day and learn the basics to get you on your way (ages 8-16 yrs). Don’t forget to book on the link above!
  • Wednesday October 30: Spray painting workshops (ages 8-16 yrs). Only 10 places per session so booking is needed.

Create your own artwork in the form of a tote bag or vinyl record design.

  • Thursday October 31: Circus skills and Halloween painting. Learn to be a circus all-star with tricks and tips from the experts. Get set for Halloween with spooky face painting (families/ages 5-16)
  • Friday November 1: Mini golf course. Hone your crazy golf skills on our indoor course (families/ ages 6-16)
  • Saturday November 2 and Sunday November 3: Games tent – family fun with didi cars, inflatable dart boards, a bowling alley and arcade games (families/ages 6-16)

Urban Events is being co-funded by Mid Sussex District Council and New River to mark their commitment to a new partnership being progressed to redevelop Burgess Hill town centre.
